Argh, matey!

We took Asher to the pediatric opthamologist after being referred by his pediatrician. He was diagnosed with esotropia, or misaligned eyes, which I also suffered from as a child. We were advised to patch his dominant eye for two hours a day. Above is a picture of Asher with a patch on for the first time. It is actually on wrong!!! Below are pictures with it on the right way. We have a follow-up appointment at the beginning of November, and then sometime around his first birthday he will most likely undergo surgery to correct the weak eye muscles. Luckily he won't have to wait until he is 3 like I did!!!

Showing off his sitting up skills!!

Pretty happy about this sitting up stuff!

Where in the world are the Dillons?

These are the new portraits that we recently had done for Asher's sixth month. We thought they turned out fabulous!!!!

This girl is funny. The other day her Papa was babysitting her. They were playing 'store', and she was the cashier. After asking if he was paying debit or credit, she said his total was 'twoety-two' dollars. Later in the week she was feeling all snuggly with me, and she was snuggling up to my face. The next thing I know she's stroking my face and saying: "Aww, you're cheeks are so soft and chubby!! Chubby-wubby, I just love them and could eat them!" Ok, so I liked the sentiment behind that, but I didn't particularly appreciate the squeezing of my cheeks, and I guess I need to teach her that it's not a compliment to tell an adult that she has chubby cheeks!!!! She's quite the sweet girl. She saves a lot of this type of attention for her brother, which I couldn't be more thankful for!

Aubrey is a master puzzle girl. She can take any 24-piece puzzle and put it together.

She's an ant--- went to a program about ants at the conservation center.

Asher getting his first cereal. He is now getting very adept at eating all sorts of vegetables. I think his favorites are sweet potatoes, squash, peas, and avocadoes.

We went to St. Louis-- we had a ton of fun, but let me tell you, it was a lot of work!!!

St. Louis Zoo

We loved their giraffe exhibit.

We thought this was just awesome!

We loved watching the penguins torpedo under the water.

The grizzly bear was a little stinky.

Go to the City Museum. It is a huge hit, and I don't think many people not from St. Louis know about it.
Affection!
An old elevator cage!
This was a display of all sorts of architectural ornaments, pretty impressive.
Self-portrait!

Brian liked the B.S.
The world's largest pair of underwear!

We were on the 28th floor.

The roof had a pool-- and an observation deck that was very neat to sit on at night!

Grant's Farm
Aubrey liked the view of the goats better from the OTHER side of the fence!

Uncle Sam came with us!

At the Magic House!!!! We're getting worn out by this point!!

'Fishing' with Sam.

Playing 'ring around the rosie'.

Time to go home!
